As highlighted last week on our Letters page, parking problems have been occurring at Tenby's Rectory Car Park.
This has led to angry motorists contacting Pembrokeshire County Council. However, the local authority has no connection with it.
"We've had to gently remind people that we do not operate the car park, that it is not owned by us and that they need to direct their parking complaints elsewhere," said the county council's streetcare manager, Marc Owen.
"Some of the car park users I spoke to had waited for over an hour before they could get a ticket out of the machine.
"You can certainly understand their annoyance and frustration."
