A GROUP of recruits from Holsworthy Detachment of Devon Army Cadet Force (ACF) have successfully passed their basic training assessment.
The group undertook assessments in drill, military knowledge, navigation physical training and air rifle handling.
The assessment took place during a recent weekend at Okehampton Camp.
Also completing an assessment was cadet Ben McKenzie who received his one star badge from Officer Commanding for North Devon Major David Price, who also presented badges and certificates to the recruits.
Detachment Commander 2Lt Jim Harvey, said: “This group of recruits have taken to cadet life with great enthusiasm and have worked hard to make the grade. Cadet McKenzie was our ‘Cadet of the Year 2016’ and has remained consistent in his efforts and achievements.”
