THERE was a record number of vegetable entries at the 27th Halwill Flower and Produce Show held on Saturday, August 31.

Cookery and handicraft entries were down but overall the total entries were up on last year.

Over 100 people attended the show in the afternoon and took part in the raffle.

As usual, there was a suggestion sheet avai­la­ble for exhibitors and mem­bers of the public to contribute ideas for next year's schedule and show.

The cups and prizes were presented by Angela Bertram.
