The Budelicious festival will take place at the weekend (Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22) in what should be one of Bude’s most tasteful events in the calendar.

The event, now in its second year will once again showcase the very best and varied restaurants that Bude has to offer, along with artisan food and drink producers in the area.

The festival will open with an evening of beer and cheese in the marquee on Friday and continue with a weekend full of food, drink and entertainment throughout the grounds of the Falcon Hotel.

Artisan producers in the Food Hall, chef demos in the marquee, street food vendors outside the hotel, family activities and evening entertainment in the marquee, organisers assure that there will be something for everyone…|

The event is being led by celebrity chef Peter Gorton (Master Chef of Great Britain) a past Michelin star winner.

Peter has been excited to show off the talent of Bude and its eateries.

He said: “I have been keen to build an event in Bude for some time now, as the town has a lot to offer by the way of some great food and drink artisan producers and eating places. Our aim is to grow the Budelicious event over the coming years to become an established festival in Cornwall.”

During the day, the marquee will be full of chefs hosting hourly demonstrations on the stage.

Peter Gorton will be keeping a close eye as he will be hosting the weekend with his notorious upbeat, fun and entertaining style.

The photo competition and the limerick competition awards will be given out, after local people were invited to enter up to three images that capture ‘Bude at work, rest or play moment’. People were also invited to compose their own limerick that includes the name Bude (suitable for a family audience) .

The Peter Gorton and friends after dark chef demonstration and feast will be in the marquee from 7pm.
