THE children who completed the Summer Reading Challenge 2017: Animal Agents were presented with certificates on Saturday, September 16, at Holsworthy Library.
Devon County Councillor Barry Parsons and ‘Max’ the library mascot presented the certificates.
The aim of the reading challenge was for children to read six books over the summer holidays.
A spokesperson for the library said: “We have has a great response this year with 130 children signing up and 70 finisher. It’s been lovely to see so many children in the library over the summer and we hope that they will continue to visit us over the coming months and years.”
On the day Daisy Buckler was awarded her ‘Book Track Finisher’ for reading 100 books. Thanks were expressed to Cloe Westaway for volunteering as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.
