INSPIRING pupils at an early age is the aim of a joint project in North Cornwall.

An ongoing project that has expanded since trials last year sees the Cornwall College Group working closely with the Moor and Coastal Partnership Trust, which includes Sir James Smith's Community School in Camelford and eight primary schools, including Camelford, Boscastle and Port Isaac.

Amanda Musgrave, from the Moor and Coastal Partnership Trust, said: "We believe that inspiring children and raising their aspirations at the earliest opportunity has never been more important.

"Giving children an idea and understanding of their potential early on in their education can ensure that they don't lose sight of the opportunities open to them during their educational journey.'
