A CHARITY day in aid of CLIC Sargent held at Tintagel Methodist Church on Friday, organised by the Strawmeadow Quilters, raised £2,800 for the charity. Pauline Sandercock from the group said: "Strawmeadow Quilters would like to thank everyone who helped, bought, cooked and gave generously — both time and items to sell —which made the fundraising day such a success. Grateful thanks to the committee of the Tintagel Methodist Church for the use of all their facilities." Georgina Reed, CLIC Sargent fundraising manager for Cornwall said: "We are very grateful and thankful for the efforts, generosity and hard work of all those involved with the event."
