A QUIZ held by Potter Baker Chartered Accountants has seen more than £600 raised for two appeals.

Following the recent quiz night, held at Launceston Cricket Club, £315 was donated to both the Primrose Appeal and the Chestnut Appeal.

David Squires, events and campaigns, said: “The Chestnut Appeal would like to thank Liz and the team at Potter Baker for another fantastic donation. The quiz was a great success and proved to be a lot of fun.

“This money will be used for their next fundraising target, which is to bring the best in diagnostics to the region. The MRI-ultrasound fusion will become the gold standard in prostate cancer imaging and diagnosis and with better diagnosis come better outcomes.

“When they successfully buy this piece of kit Derriford Hospital will be at the leading edge of prostate cancer care.

“The cost of the MRI-ultrasound fusion scanner is in the region of £100,000 — we are getting there!”
