ON Monday, February 9 the school was visited by an Inspector from the Basic Skills Quality Mark Agency.
Her job was to assess the school's ability in supporting and improving the students' basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Mr Wolverson, English teacher and literacy co-ordinator, said: "I am pleased to report that the school passed its Quality Mark renewal with flying colours.
"The report praised the school's 'determined and enthused whole school commitment to improving basic skills' with clear evidence of a 'very strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy throughout all departments'."
