AROUND £107 was raised for Crossroads Care at Soudley's annual duck race.

This year saw 82 people take part with Evie Moore, Tom Hyett and Ethan Duberley winning the race which started at the village hall and ran down stream to the bridge that borders Tramway Road.

Margaret Still, who runs the village market with her husband Larry, said: "Every year we hold the duck race to coincide with the village market. We decided to support a good local cause and Crossroads Care seemed the perfect choice.

"This year's event was small but we still took a good amount for charity and the kids had lots of fun."

Crossroads Care provides practical help, support and social opportunities to carers and those they care for across all ages and disabilities.
