THE light switch-on event at the home of Anthony and Sheila Greenaway on Derriton Road, Pyworthy, was held on Saturday, December 1.

On the night the town crier of Holsworthy Roger Dunstan came along and presided over proceedings which included entertainment from the Bideford Pipers and a raffle, with refreshemnts available and a cake stall.

The lights were switched on thanks to the couple’s daughter Anna and all funds raised through donations will be given to the Seamoor chemotherapy and day treatment unit at North Devon District Hospital, Barnstaple. The Greenaway family choose the Seamoor Unit in appreciation for their help and support during Tony’s illness.
