THE Rev Malcolm Jones welcomed Rev Steve Wild and Bishop Tim Thornton to an ecumenical service held at Boyton Chapel on Sunday morning, July 16.

Both Steve and Tim spoke on unity, being different but united in Christ.

Boyton children, Oliver, Samuel and Ella Strout, Grace Can, Theo and Alfie Parnell with their singing puppets delighted the congregation as they performed to ‘Our God is a Great Big God’. Ruth Allin accompanied the hymns and Oliver, Samuel and Theo were collection stewards. The lessons were read by Pauline Frost and Bernard Strout.

A bring and share lunch followed the service when Malcolm, Steve and Tim shared in fun and fellowship with everyone.

Then Bishop Tim was spotted in the kitchen, helping Greta and Angela with the washing up!
