PRIMARY pupils in Lewannick had the opportunity to question North Cornwall Liberal Democrat MP Dan Rogerson when he visited school recently.

Mr Rogerson spoke during the school assembly, explaining the different aspects of his role as an MP, his work in North Cornwall and how he represents constituents in Parliament.

Following the assembly, pupils in Treworther class quizzed the MP about a range of local, national and international issues.

The question and answer session was followed by a meeting between Mr Rogerson and the school council.

The chair of the school council, Annabelle, said: "We thought the visit was very good. Mr Rogerson let everybody speak, and we learnt a lot about what he does as an MP and minister and why he was chosen."
