CHILDREN from 13 primary schools have been busy decorating trees as part of the Tre, Pol & Pen Farm Shop’s inaugural Christmas tree festival.

As part of the first festive of its kind that Tre, Pol & Pen has hosted since it opened, children from local primary schools including Callington, Stoke Climsland, Gunnislake and many more have designed and made their own Christmas decorations to adorn the Christmas trees that sit outside the front of the farm shop’s restaurant off the A388 at Lezant.

On December 5 the decorations were unveiled with a special late night opening between 5pm and 9pm.

Throughout the Christmas period, Tre, Pol & Pen will be welcoming donations from customers coming to look at the trees which will be on display until twelfth night with all donations split between schools taking part.

Tom Malcolm, general manager at Tre, Pol & Pen, said: “It’s been lovely today seeing the skies clear as children from some of our local primary schools come and decorate their trees. They are certainly a creative bunch with some absolutely beautiful decorations of all shapes and sizes.

“We are so grateful to all of the schools that have taken part and hope everyone enjoys the local creativity on show throughout the festive season.

“We were delighted to have Coads Green Primary School choir join us to turn on the lights. Their beautiful singing was the perfect accompaniment to the launch of the lights.”
