ON Saturday, January 2, St Joseph’s School took 33 pupils to Les Menuires in the French Alps for a week skiing.
Upon arrival they were fortunate to have plenty of fresh snowfall.
This gave perfect skiing conditions for the week.
The Hotel Skilt was perfectly located just ten metres from the ski lifts and provided all pupils with excellent nutritional meals to fuel them for the skiing.
All pupils had a fantastic time, both on the slopes and during the evening activities.
It was fantastic to see how well they developed their skiing ability, from the first time skiers to the more experienced, all progressed thanks to their great attitude.
They really impressed the skiing instructors and were a credit to St Joseph’s throughout the trip.
Many thanks go to Mr Cardoo who organised the trip, and to Mrs Gardner, Miss Hemingway, Mr Brown, Mr Thetford and Mr Matthews, who were the staff accompanying the children.
