THANKS were given to South Petherwin Primary School for the ‘Indian Summer’ they provided pupils during the school’s Indian week, held recently.

The school enjoyed a creative ‘wow’ week, which centered on the theme ‘Colours of India’. To launch the topic, the children dressed up in bright colours and learned some Indian styled dance moves.

This culminated in a whole school Bollywood dance session in the playground, led by Gemma Kempthorne.

They also learned about the history, religions and geography of India. All had a great week.
