Bude Junior Choir sang some wonderfully uplifting songs — ‘Touch the Sky’, ‘One in a Million’ and ‘Sing’ — with beautiful counter melodies. Bude Junior School’s OMG Olivia, Myah and Grace from Bude Junior School sang ‘Hallelujah’ with beautiful harmonies.
Act two saw the immensely talented young musicians of the Triggshire Wind Orchestra, which draws performers from Bude to Camelford to Padstow and inland moorland villages, playing to perfection with their smart suits and bow ties.
There were also performances from the Year 1 pupils of Padstow School, as well as from representatives of many other schools and groups in the county.
The organiser behind Kidz 4 Cornwall, Eily Tatlow, said: “I always feel so proud of all of these amazingly talented young people, each year they excel — I am looking forward to sitting in a theatre in the West End or on Broadway and watching one of Cornwall’s future stars.”
Kidz 4 Cornwall has raised over £6,500 for local musical charities since it began in 2007.
Eily expressed thanks to all of those taking part in this year’s show, Chris Alexander and the Hall for Cornwall.
