BOSCASTLE School pupils staged two sell-out performances of Jungle Book as their end of year performance.

The children told the story of Mowgli through speech, dance and song, with the school’s string orchestra playing during the performance, and entertaining the audience during the interval.

Year 6 children took on the main roles of Mowgli, Ballo, Bagheera, King Louie, Colonel Hathi, Shere Kahn and Kaa.

Over a hundred parents and friends packed into the playground for each of the outdoor performances.

Headteacher, Sarah Duffy, said: “The whole school were amazing. The Year 6 children led the way, supported by the rest of the school. Every single child played their part brilliantly.

“I would like to thank my colleagues for all of their hard work with the children to make these shows possible, and particularly to Morwenna Gee for helping with the dancing, Barbara Degener for her work with our string orchestra, and Jay Potter for building our tree. We are all very proud of our children and their magnificent performances.”
