THIS year, Boscastle CP School transformed into a wonderland as the school children performed their own musical adaptation of ‘Alice’.

On Tuesday, July 12, and Wednesday, July 13, the pupils of Boscastle CP School put on two performances, both beginning each day at 6pm.

After weeks of hard work the children were acting, sing and dancing their way through a musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Lewis Carroll, portrayed by Connor, tells the story of Alice, played by Sophie, following Katy the White Rabbit down a hole.

On her adventure she meets a Caterpillar, a Cheshire Cat, a Mad Hatter played by Ethan, The Queen of Heart portrayed by Jerrica, the King of Hearts played by Isaac and an array of other odd creatures on her journey.

Both shows were a huge success with the children performing to packed audiences.

Headteacher Sarah Duffy said she was very pleased with her school adding: “In my introduction I promised the parents a professional, inspiring and entertaining musical and the children did not let us down.

“The standard of the singing, dancing and acting was wonderful and reflected all of the hard work they had put in to their practicing. I am very proud of the children.”
