SCHOOLS, offices, and community groups went Red Nose crazy on Friday to raise money for this year's Comic Relief.

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of an institution. It's the day, every two years, when people across the UK get together to do something funny for money at home, school and work.

Whilst some baked cakes, others had their faces painted and donned fancy dress for the day.

As usual, a tremendous amount of money was raised in the Post area, which will help to boost the overall amount.

For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
