IN response to public demand, a meeting about the proposed development at Upper Chapel, Launceston, to build up to 100 houses, was held at the Town Hall.

It was organised by local County Councillors, Adam Paynter and Alex Folkes, who would not make any comments at the meeting, so that when the planning authority meets to decide, they could then do so.

About 120 people were present, and over 24 took the opportunity to voice their opposition to the proposal.

The chairman, Rob Nolan, introduced the Cornwall councillors who will be deciding the issue, and he went on to say that they all had visited the proposed site, and the road network leading to it, earlier in the day.
