A BUSINESS owner has struck out against plans for a solar farm claiming it will affect his landrover business "dramatically," writes Amelia Chubb.
Tim Selwyn of Tredown Landrovers, based at Hollacombe, is one of many against plans for a 40-acre solar farm at Foxcombe Farm, which would be sited within 60 metres of his home.
The application has received over 90 objections, including those from Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council. Mr Selwyn told the 'Post' that despite the reduction in size it will still cause problems as his drive will run through the middle of the development.
"We will have solar panels within 60 metres of our house, it will affect our landrover business drastically. Everyone has submitted a letter of objection, but Torridge District Council (TDC) hasn't even looked at the letters or responded to them because there are so many [applications]."
