THE start of work on a new roundabout linking to the Holsworthy Agri-Business Centre was marked with a turf cutting ceremony last Friday. The £900,000 scheme will develop a new roundabout at the junction of the A388 and Blind Lane/New Market Road. It will provide a safer access for the increased traffic volumes which are anticipated when the Holsworthy Agricultural Business Centre opens, as well as improving accessibility from the town to the site. The need for the highway improvements were highlighted as part of the planning application for the business centre. The scheme also includes an off-road pedestrian and cycle link to the new centre from Blind Lane to Quagmire Lane.
