A candlelit procession and ecumenical service were held to celebrate the restoration of the Priory ruins at Launceston. A congregation of around 50 turned out for the occasion. The service was held in St Thomas Church. The Priory has been restored thanks to funding from Launceston Town Council, SITA, North Cornwall District Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Priory is open daily from 8am to 3.30pm. In the summer, the closing time will be 5.45 pm. Many visitors are expected to view the Priory and learn more about its long history during the coming year.
