THE annual garden show and plant sale organised by Lewannick Garden Club was held in the village hall on Saturday, April 7.
Tim Ellis from the Lewannick Garden Club said: “The event went really well. We raised £100 for the gardening club which goes towards costs of speakers and things like that. It was well supported despite poor weather this spring.”
There were a good number of entries from the village and surrounding villages.
The garden club has regular monthly meetings, speakers, and visits to gardens and other outings.
Meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month at Lewannick Village Hall. In the summer, visits to gardens and nurseries replace the regular meetings.
On May 2, there will be a talk on Double Primroses by Caroline Stone.
