THANK you for publishing my letter 'Thanks for the memories' (the 'Post', May 14) regarding the Davy House May Day Rag of 1969.
Unfortunately, I have spotted a printing mistake which I hope you will correct in the next edition of the Post. I wrote that pupils and teachers adapted bedsteads for the race and decorated them, not as published 'bedsheets'.
A bedstead is the metal frame of an old-fashioned bed. Those used in the bed race had to be mounted on wheels to be mobile and 'road-worthy'.
