PUPILS at Holsworthy Primary School are making rapid progress and achieving well, according to education inspectors.

They say all groups of pupils at the school are making faster than expected progress and achieving well in all years.

"Progress in all subjects and key stages is now good," said the inspectors. "All groups of pupils achieve well in all years."

The inspectors say, over the last two and a half years, the school has improved in many respects and is set to get even better.

In 2010, Holsworthy was judged satisfactory. But now every aspect of life at the 301-pupil school is 'good' or 'better'.

And that improvement has come at a time when school inspectors have been getting tougher with their judgements.
