THE Linkinhorne History Group exhibition team held a very busy, but rewarding, weekend across July 2 to 3, at the Rilla Mill Village Hall.
The theme was based around The Battle of the Somme, a historic event during World War One, which happened 100 years ago.
During the event, chairman Andrew Davy presented retiring trustees of Rilla Mill Hall, Jack Davy and Ron Bath, with photo albums of events through the years to mark 50 years’ commitment.
A bouquet was also presented to Zena Jones, who has been the village hall secretary for 26 years.
Thanks were expressed to all of those who donated items for display including Sue Davies who was not present but had made and gave the delicious cakes for village hall funds.
