THE preserving pans have been busy again and at the St Breward Church pickles and preserves coffee morning the produce stall was groaning with jams, marmalade, pickles, chutneys and jellies.

Cakes were as popular as ever and there were unusual fruits, papples, to try.

The bandroom kitchen was busy with helpers serving coffee, teas and cake and all stalls had good sales. Bric-a-brac was donated, the books stall was full of bargains and there was a fun and practical tombola stall.

St Breward Church PCC treasurer Caroline Hooper said: "This is always a popular annual event in the church's fundraising calendar and a very big thank you to all who helped, attended and donated. A net amount of £317 was raised for our village church."
