PREDICTING that the August bank holiday weather would be bad, organisers for the Blisland Fun Day and Dog Show postponed the event to the following Sunday (September 2) in the hope that the weather would improve.

Although there was a spell of heavy rain in the morning, dry weather was enjoyed by the village after all for the duration of the fun day.
