ON HIS 40 year anniversary of working at the Post Office, Jeff Roberts was taken for a surprise Sunday lunch at Bude Golf Club and presented with gifts.

Mr Roberts has been the post master at Week St Mary for over 30 years, and before then at Tresmeer.

Luke Francis, Bude Post Master, said: "Jeff has been an outstanding post master for over 40 years serving the community."

Mr Roberts had "guessed something was up" when he recognised cars in the car park at the golf club.
