FOUR 'Post' area groups have benefited from grants from the Lottery's Awards for All programme.
A total of £652,317 is being distributed to 89 groups across the South West region in the latest round of awards.
Grants have gone to: Bude Pilot Gig (£6,500); West Devon District Scouts (£9,978); Lezant Parish Council (£3,000), and West Dartmoor University of the Third Age (£578).
Mark Cotton, Big Lottery Fund Head of the South West region, said on behalf of Awards for All: "It's always heart-warming to see what an incredibly diverse number of projects benefit from grants. This month, £650,000 is being distributed to projects as varied as a Victorian Military Tattoo, a Brazilian carnival and a new youth performance company for children that will reach and benefit everyone in the community."
Awards for All is the small grants scheme administered by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of Lottery good cause funders, Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England. The scheme is now closed and each of the lottery good cause distributors who supported the scheme now run their own individual small grants programmes.
