THE proceeds from the 2017 Post charity Gala were handed over by general manager Judy Ward last week.

There was fantastic support for the event, held at Penstowe Manor, Kilkhampton, on November 10, and from ticket sales, and proceeds from the raffle, lucky programme and donations, a total of £2,200 was raised.

This year, the Post was proud to support two charities — the Children’s Hospice South West and Bude RNLI.

Representatives from both charities were delighted to each receive a cheque for £1,100.

Judy said: “On behalf of all members of staff, I would like to thank everybody for once again supporting this event, and these two worthwhile causes. I was delighted to hand over the proceeds.

“Keep your eyes peeled for the date of the 2018 Gala — we hope to see you all there for another fantastic evening!”
