WHAT A NIGHT! The 'Post' charity Gala Concert in aid of the Precious Lives Appeal of the Children's Hospice South West was hailed by many as "one of the best ever" or by some as "the best" in its 17- year history. It proved to be a mixture of music, mirth and magic, a pot pourri of laughter and lyrics. From the word go, the audience took the performers to their hearts and became captivated by their medley of talent and sheer desire to provide a wonderful evening's entertainment. They never looked like failing and the audience lapped up every single act. Gerri-Ellen started the main acts after a brief, amusing introductory stint from 'Tank' Sherman. Gerri quickly captured the hearts of the audience on her re-appearance after a 13-year gap. SEE a page of colour pictures and the full report in the Cornish & Devon Post Series, on sale now. 'Post' readers and staff have now raised about 113,000 pounds for the Children's Hospice South West.
