THERE was a strong following for this year’s Lamerton Hunt, which met on Boxing Day at The Arundell Arms, Lifton, as around 200 foot followers came out to greet more than 40 riders before they headed off towards Kelly on the pre laid drag trail.
Hunt secretary Mary Bridger said: “We had a very successful meet at the Arundell Arms, in Lifton, on Boxing Day.
“There were over 40 horses and around 200 foot followers — so a very good crowd — and the Arundell Arms were very welcoming and generous.
“We were lucky that the wind dropped and the weather cleared by 11am and the huntsman, hounds and horses were enthusiastically applauded as they streamed past the crowds down the main road.”
