THERE was a ‘very good following’ for the North Cornwall Hunt Boxing Day meet in Camelford as people piled out of their houses and onto the streets to view this annual tradition.
The hunt and hounds met in the car park next to the Darlington pub and the town hall, as usual with 18 riders braving the unpleasant conditions.
Although the huntmaster said it is not an ideal place to meet, the riders were still happy to greet the intrepid foot followers who came out to support this annual event.
North Cornwall hunt master Mr Ralph Mankee said: “It was a very good meet in Camelford. The trail hunt took us out across the moor and everyone had a good time.
“Unfortunately we all had to come back by about 2.30pm because the weather changed and became awful.”
