Egloskerry School are the proud winners of the South West Carbon Positive Award 2009 for Positive Communities. The award celebrates the work done by children and staff to reduce their carbon footprint, including reducing their electricity consumption by eight per cent over the last year! This was achieved simply by turning off lights in empty rooms and turning off computers when not in use. Headteacher Sally Caudle said: "This shows that everyone can make a difference, and protect our world."
