THE poppy cascade created last year has returned to the pump in Holsworthy Square just in time for Remembrance day.

In 2018 a poppy cascade was created by town councillor Jo Heaven, now mayor of the town, and town council handyman George Wilcox, which was draped over the pump in the Square. Many people from the town banded together to turn Holsworthy into the ‘Poppy Town of Devon’.

This year Holsworthy has done itself proud as the poppies have returned, with a few more to boot.

It was a real team effort as mayor Cllr Heaven was joined once again by Mr Wilcox along with councillors Nigel Keneally, Keith Musker, Pete Shepherd, Mick Stanton and Richard Brown to install the impressive installation to remember those who lost their lives during the war.
