IT was a wet, windy and wild day on the north Cornish coast on Sunday, February 23, but that didn’t stop a number of local residents who made their way to Trebarwith Strand for February’s beach clean.

Organised by Bek Stratfield, of Love Trebarwith Beach Clean Group, a number of people turned out to the event on the last day of the February half term, with two dogs even lending their hands — or paws — to the work.

There was low tide but a huge swell, so unfortunately the team weren’t able to cover as much beach as they had hoped, but, following the storms, the group still managed to collect a large amount of litter and debris from around the rocks.

Following the clean, everyone was able to warm up with coffee and cake at the Strand Cafe.
