TWO members of 1610 Holsworthy Pool staff have been nominated for national awards.
The activity leaders, Adam Davey, senior activity leader and swim instructor, and Jess Creasey, a junior activity leader who organises children’s holiday schemes at the pool, have been nominated for the ‘What’s On For Kids’ awards, which is run by a national online children’s activities website.
Parents who use the facilities at Holsworthy Pool nominated Adam and Jess.
Adam has been nominated for two categories, ‘Most Outstanding Leader’ for the 0-5 year olds in the West and Wales area and for the 5-12 year age group.
Jess has been nominated for the ‘Most Outstanding Leader’ for the 0-5 year age group in the South area.
More than a million parents subscribe to the ‘Whatson4littleones’ website and 100,000 votes are expected to be cast in the awards competition. The awards ceremony will take place in London in October.
Adam, who teaches swimming classes at the pool is delighted to be nominated for the awards, he said: “I am not sure who put my name forward for the awards but it’s great to be recognised on behalf of the team at Holsworthy Pool who deliver a dedicated and personal service for parents and children who come along to the pool for swimming lessons or who enjoy our holiday time activity schemes.
“We get a lot of satisfaction in helping children to develop through our swim academy and swimming lessons or just having fun at the centre, so it is wonderful that our efforts are appreciated and the Holsworthy Pool is recognised at a national level.”
