THE Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FoBSP) are continuing to call on local tradesmen and suppliers to help complete work on a new timber frame building, which has now been granted planning permission.

The project to build a hub can now go ahead thanks to grants and fundraising.

Natural Construction SW Ltd, based in Holsworthy, has generously offered to build the hub and the FoBSP charity hopes with the help of locals to make it a community build in the style of 'DIY SOS'.

The hub will be a focal point at Bude Sea Pool, containing lockers and changing facilities, and an important educational hub for children conducting school projects.

It will also sell FoBSP merchandise to raise funds, and be able to use the facility for more fundraising events.

FoBSP are waiting on a start date for the work, but hopes to have the hub finished by the end of May.
