THE Tetcott and South Tetcott pony club fielded two teams that both travelled to Camborne Show, July 18, where the weather stayed dry and the mounted games began.

There were two competitions on the day as teams arrived from all over Devon and Cornwall.

In the first competition Tetcott Yellows: Peggy Kirkwood, Tabby Kirkwood, Meg Furse, Catherine Trible and Cassie Walker were representing Tetcott pony club. The yellow team came up against many teams they had met at the Zone Finals and they finished a good second being just beaten by South Devon West's 'A' team, who were the winners of the Area 16 qualifiers held at Ashwater in May.

In the second competition Tetcott Blues: Hannah Clarke, Stuart Walter, Esme Farrow, Imogen Farrow and Lindsey Dennis represented the pony club. They stormed ahead winning the second competition by a long way and bringing home a big, well earned shield. The afternoon ended with all the teams parading around the ring in the order in which they finished.

Tetcott pony club couldn't have got a mounted games team there at all without the help and training from Richard, Mandy and Natalie Day. All in all the day was a great success for all competitors and great fun was had by all.
