TORRIDGE District Council currently has two vacancies for Independent representatives to serve on its overview and scrutiny committees — internal and external.

The role of the overview and scrutiny committees is to discharge the functions conferred by Section 21 of the Local Government Act 2000 or regulations under Section 32 of the Local Government Act 2000.

The position does not attract a salary but reasonable travelling expenses will be paid.
