POLICE are to mount a new intelligence led operation against illegal incursions and rave throughout Cornwall and Devon this summer.

Problems encountered at Davidstow and Bellever in the past have shown that Cornwall and Devon are vulnerable areas during summer months.

A spokesperson for the police has said: "Each year, a significant police resource is required to respond and manager the removal of a number of raves. This diverts valuable resources away from regular policing and has a damaging impact on the affected communities and the immediate local environment."
