PC ANDY Moakes, PC Mark Holmes and PCSO Beverley Bray visited Sutcombe Primary School to speak to the children about who the police are, what they do and how they help people in all sorts of ways.

The children especially enjoyed the road safety talk and exploring the two police vehicles. The talk explained to them through partial role-play that, as they are small people, they are not that easy to see when someone is driving a car.

The officers also demonstrated with the use of their measuring tape the stopping distance of a vehicle travelling at 30mph in perfect weather conditions, which is 20 metres.
