PUPILS of Launceston Pre-school had their fingerprints taken on Friday, April 16 — but not because they were in trouble, they were learning about "people who help us" in their term's theme of occupations.

Launceston Neighbourhood Beat Manager Johnny Haynes and PCSO Clare Danson visited the pre-school in the police van. Pupils were able to sit inside the van, try on uniforms and send a message over the radio.

Pre-school staff said the children enjoyed the demonstration of the lights and sirens most of all. Staff and pupils have extended their thanks to Launceston Police for the visit.
