POLICE have named the young man who died following a collision on the B3266 at Longstone on Monday, January 26 as Robert Edward Reeves, aged 19 of St Breward.
The collision — involving a 44 tonne articulated tanker and a red Vauxhall Astra — occurred just after 9.30pm.
Robert — a former student of Sir James Smith's School in Camelford — was taken to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, where he later died.
In paying tribute to their son, Dave and Jan Reeves, said: "We would like to thank everybody for their support and sympathy at this very sad time. We have lost a very dear son. He was thought a lot of by his family, friends and everyone that knew him.
"Rob was only 19 and had everything to live for. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. RIP son."
