ARMED response was needed after a 24-year-old from Pancrasweek was said to be in possession of a firearm and making threats.

Police were called following a domestic incident at an address in Pancrasweek on Thursday morning, August 3, where it was reported that a man was making threats whilst carrying a firearm.

Armed response was also asked to attend but by the time they arrived the suspect had left the area.

Negotiators were brought in to make contact with the suspect in question.

A man has been helping police with their inquiries.
