POLICE are appealing for information after a distinctive electric bicycle (pictured) was stolen from a Bude business on the evening of July 8.
The black, E-Go bicycle that was stolen is said to be worth approximately £500 and was taken from Bude Bikes, Petherick Mill in Bude.
The bicycle was in for repairs and was left at the back of the premises — it was due to be returned on July 9, but when staff arrived the bike was missing.
Repairs had not yet been completed, so whoever took the bicycle would have had difficulty riding it, as there was no battery and the gears were broken.
Police are asking that anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the Bude Bikes store on the evening of July 8, to come forward. If anyone has been offered a distinctive electric bicycle and are uncertain of where it came from, they too are asked to provide this information.
Anyone with information is asked to message the non emergency 101 email on [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference CR/046156/16. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111.
