TRADITIONAL stalls, games and family fun were the order of the day for Bude Surf Life Saving Club’s Poldark Fayre at Crooklets Beach on Sunday, August 6.

There were ice creams, a cake stall, barbecue and entertainment included Wheel of Fortune, The Famous Human Fruit Machine, face painting and lifeguard stocks as well as the dog race, which involves an amazing array of dogs chasing a bone tied to a reel and line up a hill.

Despite the gales, all was said to run smoothly at the ‘great’ event. All proceeds were to Bude Surf Life Saving Club. The money raised will be used towards the club’s function in search, rescue and keeping people safe at the beach.
